Additional Information: This saw comes from a retired carpenter. Used, in good condition. After sharpening and adjustments have not been used.
Information about the blacksmith was provided by Mr. Tsuchida Noboru. He also told me that the saw was sharpened and adjusted by a highly skilled craftsman.
The dark area of the blade near the wooden handle in the second to last picture shows that the tang and blade of this saw are connected together by forging, not welding.
Judging from the longitudinal texture of the blade, the blade was hand-made by a blacksmith using a sen, rather than a machine.
