This saw comes from a retired Carpenter in Saitama Prefecture. The carpenter retired around 2000. He told me that the saws were sent for setting and sharpening and were never used again, but were carefully wrapped in newspaper and stored in a warehouse. The wrapped newspapers have two dates, one from 1996 and the other from 1989.
